Annual Houston Thanksgiving Parade:

Since 1949, the H.E.B. annual Thanksgiving Parade has delighted both young and old in a dazzling display of the finest Houston has to offer. This year’s Grand Marshall will be the Houston Rockets forward Dwight Howard. And to top it all off…Simone Biles, star of the Rio Olympics, will be there as well! So start lining up to get the greatest view in town!

Turkey Trot:

“More than 15,000 people will be at the starting line inthe Galleria area on Thanksgiving morning to support neighborhood centers. Will you be there?” Register now on the Turkey Trot’s website and bring relief, hope, and life-saving funds for you local organizations. If you’re more of a doer and less of a parade-watcher, this event is for you!

Uptown Houston Holiday Lighting:

Prepare to be amazed by the 31-year old tradition that lights up the town! The program’s chock full of activities- at 4pm Thanksgiving day, gather your family and friends for holiday music and fair food. Enjoy a Merry Holiday Stage show featuring local artists and marvel at the creative Balcony Decoration Contest! For a perfect finish to your evening, enjoy dazzling fireworks over Post Oak Boulevard.
