Father’s day is coming up and Houston has a lot of events going on for the weekend to celebrate the love for the man of the house! Get out with Dad: these fun activities  are a sure way to thank him for all the love and hard work he put into raising a great kid like you.

Meat Treat

What dad doesn’t love meat? He surely deserves a perfectly grilled steak on this special day. But this year, skip the steak and treat your dad to Father’s Day Pig Roast at Revival Market. They will be roasting a whole pig and serve three sides and beer.

Location: Revival Market, Houston

Date and Time: Sun, June 18, 2017 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $25-$30

Try Something New

Feeling adventurous? Get out in the water and enjoy nature at 288 Lakes with dad and have fun learning Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP). This new sport is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. Unlike surfing where the wave propels the board, stand up paddle boarding can be done on calm and flat waters by standing on the board and use a paddle to propel through the water, thus making this new sport and an awesome and safe activity for dads of all ages, sizes and physical capabilities.

Location: 4800 Schurmier, Houston

Date and Time: Sun, June 18, 2017 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Cost:  $20.00 for board rental and instruction and $12 for entrance to 288 Lakes
