Located in a lot behind the Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company, it costs a reasonable $28 per vehicle, which means you can stuff as many people as possible into your vehicle for movie night. As for concessions, you have several options. If you like, you can bring your own snacks and drinks. Or if you prefer, you can purchase sodas, candies, and popcorn on-site at the Rooftop Cinema Club concession stand or even order menu items directly from Buffalo Bayou Brewing Company itself. If you’ve been a fan of Houston’s Star Cinema Grill, you’ll be glad to know it has added a drive-in theatre to its location in Cypress. Located at 8920 Fry Road, you and your friends and family can be treated to vintage cinema classics as well as first-run movies. Open Thursday-Sunday, shows start at 8:15 p.m. each night, with a second showing on Fridays and Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. for those who are night owls. For an extra treat aimed at those who like adult beverages, various specials will also be available each night courtesy of Silver Eagle Distributors and Karbach Brewery. As for movies you can look forward to, expect to see Wonder Woman 1984, Bill and Ted Face the Music, and many others.

Best Little Drive-In

Though the Best Little Drive-In has been around in Houston for awhile, it is new in that it has recently relocated and made several changes. Considered one of the hippest drive-ins in Texas, it has relocated from The Heights to a much better spot near The Raven Tower. As for the advantages moviegoers will quickly notice, there are many. To begin with, the new location will allow the Best Little Drive-In to increase its guest capacity from 15 cars to 36, giving more Houston residents the chance to enjoy a fun night out. Also, the new location will now mean the theatre will begin showing movies seven nights per week, weather permitting of course. Finally, and perhaps best of all, customers can purchase concessions from The Raven Tower. Along with the usual popcorn, candy, and soft drinks, customers can also purchase a variety of hard seltzers and even The Raven Tower’s daily frozen cocktail, which is said to be fantastic.

While we all know the day will eventually come when our usual movie theatres will once again be filled to capacity, these drive-in theatres offer fun options that may stick around long after the coronavirus leaves. In the meantime, enjoy a fun movie under the stars and also give some thought along the way to how renting a storage unit from us here at Proguard can simplify your life. Like these drive-in theatres, we’ve got multiple locations in Houston, so stop in and say hello.
